Part of the tradition of Remembrance Day each year aside from wearing poppies and taking a short pause is to recite the infamous war poem “In Flanders Fields.”
The music world said goodbye to a legend in November of 2016 Leonard Cohen passed away at the age of 82. As a fitting celebration of the poem’s heritage, the Canadian poet, singer/songwriter, painter, and novelist took part in a dramatic reading of which was released on YouTube in 2015. Published in association with Legion Magazine, Leonard’s voice is accompanied by chilling images from the First World War.
