Vegan harissa falafels sticks an easy homemade dish inspired by the Middle East kitchen and served with basil pesto.
You are going to need:
• One clove of garlic • 1 1\2 cup chickpeas, cooked • 3 tsp red pesto • 1 tsp harissa spices • 1 tsp paprika • 1 tsp ground cumin • 1 tsp chili spices • 3 tbsp. flour (buckwheat flour works great too) • Lemon juice, 1/2 organic lemon
Here’s how to make falafels:
Add all ingredients in a hand mixer or small food processor, mix them all together. Then form patties using a cookie scoop or a spoon. Now pan-fry the patties with hot vegetable oil, or use a saucepan only half filled with oil. Fry the falafels 2-3 minutes until crispy and golden. Enjoy!
